These Terms & Conditions govern the use of this website and the provision of services by this practice. By accessing this website, booking an appointment, or retaining services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Nature of Services

This practice provides paralegal and notary services in accordance with the Law Society of Ontario and within the authorized scope of practice for licensed paralegals and notaries.

This practice is not a law firm, and the services provided are not a substitute for legal services that must be performed by a lawyer.

2. No Lawyer–Client Relationship

Use of this website, email communications, or booking an appointment does not create a lawyer–client relationship.

Services are provided by a licensed paralegal and notary public, regulated by the Law Society of Ontario, and are limited to matters authorized under Ontario paralegal regulations. Where a matter falls outside this scope, services may be declined and a referral may be suggested.

3. Scope of Practice

Services are restricted to matters permitted under Ontario paralegal legislation and professional rules.

This practice does not provide:

• Legal services reserved exclusively to lawyers
• Legal advice outside the authorized paralegal scope
• Representation or advice in matters that fall beyond regulatory authority

No guarantees are made regarding legal or administrative outcomes. If a matter is outside scope, the practice reserves the right to decline services.

4. Notary & Commissioner Services

Notary and commissioner services are limited to witnessing, commissioning, and certifying documents.

This practice:

• Does not verify the legal validity, accuracy, or content of documents
• Does not provide legal advice regarding documents presented for notarization or commissioning

Clients are solely responsible for ensuring documents are complete and appropriate prior to execution.

5. Appointments, Cancellations & No-Show Policy

Appointments are required unless otherwise stated.

Cancellations & Rescheduling: Clients are expected to provide reasonable notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.

No-Show Policy: A no-show occurs when a client fails to attend a scheduled appointment without notice. No-show appointments may result in a no-show fee or forfeiture of any prepaid amount. Repeated no-shows may require advance payment or may result in refusal of future bookings.

6. Fees & Payment

• Fees are disclosed in advance and are typically charged on a flat-fee basis.
• Payment is due at the time of service unless a retainer or alternative arrangement has been agreed upon.
• Any additional work outside the original scope will not be undertaken without prior discussion and approval.

7. Confidentiality & Privacy

Confidentiality is maintained in accordance with professional obligations and applicable law.

Personal information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed only as necessary to provide requested services, communicate with clients, and maintain records required for professional and regulatory purposes. All personal information is handled in accordance with the practice’s Privacy Policy.

8. No Guarantees

Legal and administrative outcomes depend on factors beyond the control of this practice, including decisions made by courts, tribunals, government bodies, and third parties. No guarantees or assurances are made regarding outcomes, timelines, or decisions.

9. Website Use & Information Only

Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Reliance on website content without a formal engagement is at the user’s own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, this practice is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or matters beyond the authorized scope of paralegal or notary services.
